miles of
golden
sand make it ideal for swimming, surfing, canoing,
kite- buggies, building castles, beachcombing or just walking and
dreaming. Great any time of the year.
The nearby South West
Coastal Footpath has great walks and
stunning scenery. The ancient maritime village of Appledore is
just a mile
or so away and the famous village of Clovelly and
Hartland quay with its dramatic cliffs and walks are all within easy
reach.
There
are
fine beaches at Westward Ho! Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay,
Putsborough
and Woolacombe.
