Take an OS map and head out to the rugged, wild Exmoor for spectacular walking.South Molton the market town of Exmoor buzzes on a Thursday. Torrington a small town set on top of wonderful country is just a few miles from the coast apartment at Northam. There you will find the famous Dartington Glass Works, civil war museum, and RHS Rosemoor Gardens.
Explore the other wonderful gardens of North Devon at Broomhill, Marwood, Docton Mill, Castle Hill and Tapeley Park. The splendid National Trust property at Arlington Court has interesting house, gardens, walks in the grounds, and carriage exhibition.
For walkers the South
West Coastal Footpath passes near the coast apartment and
offers some spectacular scenery and exercise. The Tarka trail an
easy path for
walkers and cyclists passes along the coast and out into the Devon
countryside. Great any time of
the year.
